Information in the survey database is based largely on field inspections conducted by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Graduate Program in Historic Preservation in Fall 2006. The dates of construction for a building are often approximate and are not based on detailed permit research. Some information in the database, however, is based on interviews with property owners, period publications, and other background research.

Corrections or additions should be directed to: recentpast@landmarksil.org. Sources of the information should be provided, such as building permits, publications, etc.
